Joseph "Joe" McKeehen (born June 28, 1991 in North Wales , Pennsylvania ) is a professional American poker player .

McKeehen has made more than $ 16.5 million playing poker in live tournaments . He won in November 2015 , the poker world championship and is a total of three times bracelet winner of the World Series of Poker .

McKeehen is from New Wales , a suburb of Philadelphia . He graduated from the private Arcadia University in Philadelphia with a degree in mathematics . McKeehen is a fan of the Philadelphia Flyer ice hockey franchise .

Poker career

Career

Until 2015: beginnings

McKeehen learned poker by watching the 2003 World Series of Poker Main Event on television. He played online until April 2011 under the nickname dude904 , with whom he earned over one million US dollars with tournament poker on the platforms PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker . McKeehen has also been taking part in renowned live tournaments since 2010.

In mid-January 2012, McKeehen won a tournament as part of the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure in the Bahamas , which brought him more than $ 100,000 in prize money for the first time. In July 2012, he was the first time in the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas successful and finished with a tournament variant No-Limit Hold'em the 255th place.
