Napajedla Town Hall

Napajedla (German Napajedl, older also Nepagedel  ) is a town in the Zlínský kraj region in the Czech Republic . The city is located in the scenic region on the border between Haná (Hanna), Valašsko (Moravian Wallachia) and Slovácko (Moravian Slovakia), which is known as the "Napajedler Gate".

history

Napajedl was already a strategically important place in early history, which was on a trade route between the Baltic States and the Mediterranean .

Napajedl was first mentioned in writing in 1362. Around 1410 it came to Dobeš of Tworkau . Later it belonged to the noble families Žerotín and von Rottal for a long time . During their reign, the Lords of Stockau established spa houses in Napajedl, which were mainly visited by Viennese society.
