The Toyota Noah , Toyota Voxy and Toyota Esquire are eight-seat, double- sliding-door vans built by Toyota in Japan for sale in Asia only . A five-seater (without the rearmost bench) is also available (YY grade). The Noah replaced the Toyota TownAce Noah and the more simply equipped Voxy replaced the Toyota LiteAce Noah .

The Noah / Voxy R60G was released in 2001 and joined the Toyota model range below the Estima and Alphard models , but above the Sienta . Hence, its competitors are the Honda StepWGN and the Nissan Serena . The Noah offered the best engine performance in its class. Its 2.0 l R4 engine with direct injection (AAZ-FE) delivered 113 kW (155 PS) at 6000 rpm and 192 Nm at 4000 rpm, accelerating the vehicle from 0 to 100 km / min in 9.8 seconds. h and reached a top speed of 175 km / h. Its handling and driving behavior were also improved compared to its predecessor.

The second generation of the Noah was introduced in 2007. This version has a 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder engine with direct injection and a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). It is equipped with front-wheel drive as standard, but all-wheel drive is also available on request. In the 2007 model year, the Toyota navigation system G-BOOK and telematics were offered as special equipment for the version delivered in Japan .
