Vœgtlinshoffen (German Vögtlinshofen ) is a French commune with 489 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Haut-Rhin department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Alsace ). It belongs to the canton of Wintzenheim in the arrondissement of Colmar-Ribeauvillé .

geography

Vœgtlinshoffen is 340  m on the Alsace Wine Route on the edge of the Vosges , about ten kilometers southwest of Colmar . The 3.99 km² municipal area is part of the Ballons des Vosges Regional Nature Park .

history

In documents from 1188 the village appears under the name Vocelines hoven . The Marbach Abbey was located near the village .

On January 1, 1996 the name was changed from Vœgtlinshofen to Vœgtlinshoffen .

Infrastructure

Due to the location directly on the Vosges, the traffic connection is mainly in the east to the D 83 and further east to the A 35 .
