coat of arms

Brohl coat of arms
Blazon : "In green a golden, inclined bishop's staff, growing from the edge of the shield, accompanied above by a silver (diamond-shaped) rink , below by a silver oak rice placed at an angle to the left."
Justification for the coat of arms: The bishop's staff as an attribute of St. Nikolaus refers to him as the patron saint and church patron of the Eifel community Brohl. The rink from the coat of arms of the Schenk von Schmidtburg ("A silver rink in black, set with 12 alternating red and blue round stones.") Stands for their electoral Trier fief since 1711 over the Brohler high court, and the oak rice symbolizes the oak forest in the district Brohl.
