Courcelles is a French municipality with 471 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Charente-Maritime in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016: Poitou-Charentes ); it belongs to the arrondissement Saint-Jean-d'Angély and is part of the canton Matha (until 2015: canton Saint-Jean-d'Angély ). The inhabitants are called Courcellois .

Courcelles is located about 60 kilometers east-southeast of La Rochelle in the Saintonge . Courcelles is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Antezant-la-Chapelle in the north and northeast, Vervant in the east and northeast, Poursay-Garnaud in the east, Saint-Julien-de-l'Escap in the south, and Saint-Jean-d'Angély in the west Southwest and Saint-Denis-du-Pin in the northwest.
