In the town of Reghin (Sächsisch-Regen), the road branches off to the west from Drum național 16 ( European route 578 ), after around 4 km on the eastern edge of the municipality of Breaza, it separates from Drum național 16, which continues westward, turns to the northwest and leads via Teaca (Tekendorf) and Galații Bistriței (Heresdorf) to Sărățel (Reußen) , where it meets and ends at Drum național 17 ( European route 58 ) around 12 km south of Bistrița .
