FIPRESCI award

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The FIPRESCI Awards are film awards given by the Fédération Internationale de la Presse Cinématographique (FIPRESCI), the international association of film critics and film journalists .

FIPRESCI's tasks also include awarding awards for films. On the one hand, this happens within the framework of film festivals in the form of special FIPRESCI prizes; on the other hand, FIPRESCI itself has awarded the Grand Prix de la FIPRESCI for the film of the year since 1999 and awarded the European FIPRESCI Prize from 1993 to 2009 . The first FIPRESCI award ceremony took place in 1946 during the first Cannes Film Festival .
