The 2013/14 season was the 24th season of the women's Bundesliga . The season began on September 7, 2013 and ended with the last matchday on June 8, 2014.
Last year's champions VfL Wolfsburg were able to defend their title with a win on the last day of the match against the previously unbeaten 1. FFC Frankfurt . Both teams qualified for the 2014/15 UEFA Women's Champions League .

On the last day of the season, the “final” of the German championship took place in Wolfsburg, when defending champions VfL Wolfsburg received the previously undefeated leaders 1. FFC Frankfurt. For Frankfurt, which had one point ahead of Wolfsburg before the match day, a draw would have been enough to become German champions after their cup win , while Wolfsburg needed a win to win the German championship after defending the Champions League title defend. In front of the new Bundesliga record crowd of 12,464 spectators, Wolfsburg won 2-1; Alexandra Popp scored the winning goal in the 89th minute of the game, after Frankfurt had equalized Wolfsburg's lead from the 16th minute in the 82nd minute. With this victory, VfL Wolfsburg took first place in the table for the first time this season and became German champions for the second time since 2013 .

The average attendance rose from 890 to 1,185, which corresponds to an increase of 33 percent and represents a new record. VfL Wolfsburg had the highest average with 2,933 spectators, while VfL Sindelfingen welcomed the fewest spectators. Sindelfingen also had to report the largest decrease in viewers with a minus of 25 percent. The largest increase in viewers was recorded by FC Bayern Munich, which welcomed almost two and a half times as many spectators as last year.
The game with the greatest attendance was the game between VfL Wolfsburg and 1. FFC Frankfurt, which was seen by 12,464 spectators. For the first time in the Bundesliga there was a game with a five-digit number of spectators. Only 104 spectators wanted to see the game between VfL Sindelfingen and FF USV Jena.
