Naman Keïta (born April 9, 1978 in Paris ) is a French athlete .

Naman Keïta originally started for Mali and also held the national record in the 400-meter hurdles . Keïta has been working for France since 2000. At the European Championships in Munich in 2002 , he won bronze with the 4 x 400 meter relay . At the 2003 World Championships in Paris / Saint-Denis , he reached the semifinals over 400 meter hurdles. At these world championships, the French relay team with Leslie Djhone , Naman Keïta, Stéphane Diagana and Marc Raquil came in second behind the US relay. Because of the doping affair with the American Calvin Harrison , the French relay was subsequently declared world champion.

At the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens he managed to catch up on the finish line from seventh to third in the 400 meter hurdles. In 48.26 s he won bronze behind Félix Sánchez and Danny McFarlane . At the World Championships in Helsinki in 2005 , he finished fifth. In 2006 at the European Championships in Gothenburg he was third in the final of the hurdles after the last hurdle, but was overtaken by the Welshman Rhys Williams , who managed a similar sprint as Keïta had shown in Athens in 2004. This time Keïta came fourth. On the final day of the European Championships in 2006, he was able to win his medal and became European champion with the French 4 x 400 meter relay.

Naman Keita was on August 20 at the 2007 World Championships in Osaka positively to the doping testosterone tested . In October 2007 he was banned for two years.

With a height of 1.96 m, he has a competition weight of 86 kg.
