It belongs to the arrondissement of Les Andelys and the canton of Romilly-sur-Andelle (until 2015: canton of Fleury-sur-Andelle ). The inhabitants are called Amfrevillais .

Amfreville-les-Champs is about 30 kilometers southeast of Rouen . Amfreville-les-Champs is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Douville-sur-Andelle in the north and north-west, Radepont in the north-east, Bacqueville in the east, Houville-en-Vexin in the east and south-east, Heuqueville in the south and south-west and Flipou in the west.
