Huzová (German German home ) is a municipality with 595 inhabitants (January 1, 2014) in the Czech Republic . It is located at 534 m above sea level. 12 km north of Šternberk on the Sitka River .
history
The place was first mentioned in 1141 as " Gvzove " in the deeds of Olomouc bishop Heinrich Zdik . In 1320 the town was granted the town charter and was part of the rule Eulenberg . In 1468 Hussowe was sacked by the Hungarians under Matthias Corvinus during the dispute over the Bohemian succession to the throne .
After the Munich Agreement , the place was added to the German Empire and belonged to the district of Sternberg (Moravia) until 1945 .
The St. Anne's Church was built in 1846, which fell into disrepair after the Second World War and was demolished in 1983, including the cemetery.
In 2005 the municipality was assigned from the Okres Bruntál to the Okres Olomouc .
Attractions
- In the place there is a statue of Maria Immaculata from the 18th century, a column of the Virgin Mary and a stone cross.

The municipality Huzová consists of the districts Arnoltice ( Arnsdorf ), Huzová ( German house ) and Veveří ( Eichhorn ).
The municipality is divided into the cadastral districts of Arnoltice u Huzové, Huzová and Veveří u Huzové.
