Felix J. Grucci junior (born November 25, 1951 in Brookhaven , New York ) is an American politician . Between 2001 and 2003 he represented New York State in the US House of Representatives .

Career

Felix J. Grucci Jr. graduated from Bellport High School on Long Island in 1970 . He then worked in the management of the family's own fire department , Fireworks by Grucci . Politically, he belongs to the Republican Party . Between 1993 and 1995 he was a member of the Brookhaven town council and between 1996 and 2000 he was a town supervisor in Brookhaven. In the 2000 congressional elections , Grucci was elected to the US House of Representatives in Washington, DC in the first constituency of New York , where he succeeded Michael Forbes on January 4, 2001 . Since he suffered a defeat in his renewed candidacy in 2002 , he resigned from Congress after January 3, 2003 . Then he resumed his work in his family business. He and his wife Madeleine have two children, Danielle and Felix III.
