The Premjer-Liha 2009/10 ( Ukrainian Прем'єр-ліга ) was the 19th edition of the highest Ukrainian league in football . It started on July 17, 2009. The winter break lasted from December 13, 2009 to February 28, 2010. The last day of the season was on May 9, 2010.

Defending champion was Dynamo Kiev . Obolon Kiew and Sakarpattja Uzhhorod were newcomers .
