Rolling Stone Beach (until 2018 Rolling Stone Weekender) is a two-day indoor festival with live music and a cultural framework program that takes place annually at the Weißenhäuser Strand holiday park . The event is a cooperation between the event company FKP Scorpio and the music magazine Rolling Stone .

Program and concept

The program focuses on international alternative rock and pop acts. In addition, the concert program is supplemented by discussions, readings or film screenings. The number of visitors is limited to 4,000 due to the accommodation in the holiday park. The Rolling Stone Beach concept is not only intended to appeal to regular festival guests, but is also aimed at families. This is why the accommodation differs from other festivals: the guests can stay in apartments, bungalows or hotel rooms directly on the event site. In addition, they can use various wellness or sports offers or take advantage of childcare offers. Every year the event offers around 30 hours of stage program at four locations on the grounds of the holiday park. From 2009 to 2018 FKP Scorpio licensed the weekender brand from Daniel Dombrowe , the founder of the Baltic Soul Weekender . The license for the Weekender brand was no longer licensed as of 2019 and the event was renamed from Rolling Stone Weekender to Rolling Stone Beach. Rolling Stone has announced a sister festival for 2018, Rolling Stone Park .
