The St. Anton is a hill ( 1110 m above sea level. M. ) and a hamlet in the municipality of Oberegg in the canton of Appenzell Inner Rhodes in Switzerland .
It is the highest point of a high road that connects the Appenzell Vorderland with the St. Gallen Rhine Valley . It begins in Oberegg and ends on the Ruppenpass , where it meets the road from Trogen to Altstätten .
On St. Anton there is a café, a chapel dedicated to St. Anthony of Padua , a small fire brigade museum, a cultural hotel and an inn (from SW to NE). This viewpoint is called "Töni" by the locals and is a popular destination for motorcyclists, cyclists and hikers.
