Men's doubles of the US Open 2013 .

The defending champions were Bob and Mike Bryan . At the tournament they had the opportunity to reach a Grand Slam , i.e. to win all four Grand Slam titles of the calendar year. The only Grand Slam in men's doubles to date was achieved in 1951 by the Australians Frank Sedgman and Ken McGregor . In the semifinals, however, the Bryan brothers failed to the eventual winners Leander Paes and Radek Štěpánek .

Paes and Štěpánek prevailed in the final against Alexander Peya and Bruno Soares 6: 1 and 6: 3. For the two of them it was their fourth joint title and their second victory in a Grand Slam after the Australian Open in 2012 . While it was the third title at the US Open for the Indian Leander Paes, Štěpánek won for the first time in Flushing Meadows. For the defeated doubles Peya and Soares it was the first final participation in the men's doubles at a Grand Slam. As a result of the success, Leander Paes moved up to fifth and Radek Štěpánek to sixth in the world rankings.

The American James Blake played the last tennis match of his professional career in this competition; with partner Jack Sock he was eliminated in the opening round against Alexander Peya and Bruno Soares in three sets.
