Tarbek is a municipality in the Segeberg district in Schleswig-Holstein . Alt-Erfrade is in the municipality.
Geography and traffic
Tarbek is located about 22 km east of Neumünster in a rural area. The federal highway 21 and the federal highway 430 intersect northwest of Tarbek . From 1911 to 1961, Tarbek was the station of the Kleinbahn Kiel – Segeberg , whose tracks were removed in 1962. The Grimmelsberg , the fifth highest point in the Segeberg district, is located in the municipality north of the village.
history
Numerous barrows , including the Tarbek dolmen, indicate prehistoric settlement. Tarbek was first mentioned as terbecke in 1305 . The place name probably means dripping brook and refers to a spring that was originally in the place.

The Wählergemeinschaft WGT has since the local elections of 2008, all seven seats in the municipal council.
