Berlin International Film Festival 1995
The 45th Berlin International Film Festival took place from February 9th to 20th February 1995 instead.
The Berlinale celebrated a triple anniversary this year : 45 years of the Berlinale, 25 years of the “International Forum of Young Films” and 100 years of film. In addition, the festival was marked by the farewell of Manfred Salzgeber and Wolf Donner, who had died the year before . Salzgeber was the founder of the Panorama section. His favorite film Monsieur Verdoux by Charlie Chaplin was shown in his honor . Wolf Donner directed the Berlinale from 1977 to 1979. He was commemorated with a rerun of the film Germany in autumn .

In the official competition this year, the following films were judged by the international jury:
International jury
The President of this year's Berlinale was the Israeli Lia Van Leer. Under her leadership, the following jury members selected the winners: Georgi Djulgerov , Gaowa Siqin , Alfred Hirschmeier , Christiane Hörbiger , Wadim Jussow , Michael Kutza , Pilar Miró , Tsai Ming-liang .

- Golden Bear : French director Bertrand Tavernier won the Golden Bear for Der Decoy this year .

- Best director: Richard Linklater
- Best actress: Josephine Siao in summer snow
- Best Actor: Paul Newman in Nobody's Fool - Irresistible in the long run
- For special artistic achievements: the entire team from Hong fen and Wadim Abdraschitow for Pjessa dlja passaschira
- Special Jury Prize: Wayne Wang and Harvey Keitel for Smoke
Honorary Golden Bear
The French actor Alain Delon received the Honorary Golden Bear for his life's work this year .
