Dickesbach is a municipality in the Birkenfeld district in Rhineland-Palatinate . It belongs to the Herrstein-Rhaunen community .

Dickesbach is east of the Nahe . To the west is Idar-Oberstein , in the north of Fischbach , in the east Mittelreidenbach and south of the military training area is Baumholder .

The Katzenrech and Sonnenhöfe residential areas also belong to Dickesbach .

history

The place was first mentioned in a document in 1367. At that time he belonged to the county of Zweibrücken and later came to the Wild- and Rheingrafen .

On January 1, 1994, a part of the former Baumholder estate was reclassified into the local community of Dickesbach until about the previous location of the Zaubach community, which was dissolved in 1937 .
