Bergen is a municipality in the Birkenfeld district in Rhineland-Palatinate . It belongs to the Herrstein-Rhaunen community .

history

Bergen was first mentioned in a document in 926, but traces of settlement go back to the 3rd millennium BC. BC back. The town of Staufenberg was formerly to the southwest .
