Haut Valromey is a French municipality with 669 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Ain in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It belongs to the canton of Hauteville-Lompnes and the Arrondissement Belley .

It was created as Commune nouvelle with effect from January 1, 2016 through the amalgamation of the previous communities of Hotonnes , Le Grand-Abergement , Le Petit-Abergement and Songieu , which have the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The administrative seat is in Hotonnes.
