Hefersweiler is a municipality in the Kusel district in Rhineland-Palatinate . It belongs to the Lauterecken-Wolfstein association.
geography
Hefersweiler is located on the Odenbach in the North Palatinate Bergland . It consists of the districts of Hefersweiler and Berzweiler. The Ahlbornerhof residential area also belongs to Hefersweiler .
Neighboring towns are Reipoltskirchen in the north, Niederkirchen in the south, Wolfstein in the west and Rathskirchen in the east.
history
The place was first mentioned in a document in 1223. In the 18th century it belonged to Pfalz-Zweibrücken , before it came to the Electoral Palatinate through an area swap in 1779 and was incorporated into the Reipoltskirchen rule .
During the First Coalition War , Hefersweiler was occupied by the French in 1793. After the Congress of Vienna it belonged to the Kingdom of Bavaria from 1816 . Today's community was created on June 7, 1969 through the merger of the communities of Berzweiler and Hefersweiler.

Economy and Infrastructure
In Hefersweiler there is a kindergarten in the former schoolhouse and the football club SV Hefersweiler 1952, whose sports center and sports field is located right next to the kindergarten in a central location on the village square between the two districts of Hefersweiler and Berzweiler.
