Community structure

history

The community was created on June 7, 1969 through the merger of the communities Haschbach am Glan (district court Waldmohr) and Trahweiler.

It was named after the Henschbach, the brook that flows through the middle of the town. He separated the two former villages of Haschbach and Trahweiler, which now together form Henschtal. Around 1350 Trahweiler belonged to the County of Veldenz , later to the Duchy of Pfalz-Zweibrücken , while Haschbach with the Münchweiler Valley , a fief of the Hornbach monastery , was under the Raugrafen von Neu-Baumburg . As a lower fief, the place was Zweibrückisch and came to the von der Leyen by marriage or purchase .
