Mike Di Meglio (born January 17, 1988 in Toulouse , France ) is a French motorcycle racer .

In the 2008 season he won the world championship title on Derbi in the class up to 125  cm³ of the motorcycle world championship .

Career

Mike Di Meglio made his debut in 2003 on a Honda in the 125 cc class of the motorcycle world championship. At the Turkish Grand Prix in 2005 he won his first Grand Prix victory. In 2006 Di Meglio finished 25th overall in the 125cc class, and in 2007 he was 17th in the drivers' championship.

For the 2008 season, Mike Di Meglio moved to the Finnish Ajo Motorsport team, for which he competes on Derbi . The Frenchman has so far celebrated victories in France , Catalonia , Germany and Australia and secured the 125 cc World Championship title in the third to last run of the season.

In the 2010 season , Mike Di Meglio will compete with Julián Simón for the Aspar team in the newly created Moto2 class.

Since the 2019 season Di Meglio has been back in the world championship for the newly created MotoE class. For the first time since 2008 he won a world championship run and finished the cup in fifth place.
