Associated Press version

The Associated Press (AP) has presented the National Football League (NFL) Rookie of the Year Award annually since 1967 . The award goes to the best young professionals of a season in American football in the NFL. The award is given twice - to the best defensive player and once to the best attacking player. The award is considered one of the most important awards for young players. It increases the reputation of a player.

Pepsi NFL Awards

Since 2002 , fans have been able to vote for their Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week on the official NFL website every week . The award is sponsored by PepsiCo and is very popular due to the interaction between fans. The respective winners will then be available for the Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Year fan vote at the end of the season .
