Geography and traffic

Kayhude is on the old Hamburg - Bad Segeberg road ( B 432 ) not far from the Alster . A section of the B 75 to Lübeck has started here since 2015 .

history

On the Alster, plaster of paris , bricks , wood and peat were shipped from Kayhude to Hamburg until the end of the 19th century .

Community representation

Of the twelve seats in the municipal council, the CDU has had six seats since the local elections in 2008 and the KWK and WfK electoral groups each have three seats.
