Rehborn is a location in the town of Leichlingen (Rhineland) in the Rheinisch-Bergisch district that emerged from a court .

Location and description

Rehborn located south on the southwest outskirts of Leichlinger core location of the country road L294 on the same street Rehborn near the border to Langenfeld (Rheinland) and Leverkusen . The current location of Rehborn is around 150 meters northeast of the original Rehbornerhof, which was removed in the 1979s. The Gruiten – Cologne-Mülheim railway line runs east of the village, while the residential area and today's Schnugsheide district is located northwest of Rehborn .

Other neighboring places, mostly in the southwest and western suburbs of Leichlingen, are Hülserhof , Rothenberg , Förstchen , Zwei Eichen , Roßlenbruch , Trompete , Sandberg , Schraffenberg and Haus Vorst .

history

The Rehborn farm was owned by Haus Vorst . The topographical survey of the Rhineland from 1824 and the Prussian first survey of 1844 record the place as Rehbornshof and as Rehborn , respectively , the Leichlinger municipality map from 1830 as Rehborn .

In 1815/16 the place had five residents. In 1832 Rehborn belonged to the mayor's office in Leichlingen . Which according to the statistics and topography of the district of Dusseldorf as Ackergut categorized place had at this time a house and a farm building. At that time there were five residents living in the village, all of whom were Protestant. In 1867 the Gruiten – Cologne – Mülheim railway line was opened east of the town.

In the municipality lexicon for the Rhineland province in 1885, a house with six inhabitants is given. In 1895 the place had a house with four residents, in 1905 one house and five residents.

At the end of the 19th century , a new settlement was built northeast of the courtyard , today's Rehborn location. In the 1979s the farm was torn down while the new settlement expanded and merged with Schnugsheide.
