Spirit Lake is a city in Kootenai County in the US state of Idaho . The 2010 census recorded 1945 people, compared to 1,376 in 2000. The city is part of the Coeur d'Alene urban census district, which includes the entire county.

history

A post office called Spirit Lake has been in operation since 1903. The city takes its name from the nearby Spirit Lake. One place in Spirit Lake is listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) (as of April 10, 2019), the Spirit Lake Historic District .
