The Star Xing Pai Haikou World Open 2012 was a snooker tournament that was held from February 27 to March 4, 2012 in Haikou .
The officially new tournament, which replaced the previous season's tournament of the same name from Glasgow , Scotland , was the third full ranking tournament in China alongside the Shanghai Masters and the China Open . The event in Haikou is planned for the next five years.
In a very clear final, Mark Allen prevailed 10-1 against Stephen Lee and won his first title in a world ranking tournament.
