The Wyschtscha Liha 2005/06 ( Ukrainian Вища ліга ) was the 15th edition of the highest Ukrainian league in men's football . The season started on July 12, 2005 and ended on June 14, 2006.

mode

Sixteen teams played against each other twice on a total of 30 match days, divided into a first half and a second half. Since the first two teams in the table were tied, it was decided to determine the champion in a play-off, known as the golden match . Shakhtar Donetsk won after extra time against Dynamo Kiev and was able to defend the title from the previous year. Both teams took part in the Champions League .

The clubs in the last two places were relegated to the Perscha Liha .
