6 Hours of Imola 2011

Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari

The 6-hour race of Imola 2011 , also 6 Ore di Imola, Circuito Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari di Imola , took place on July 3rd at the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari and was the third round of the Le Mans Series of this year.

The race

After the defeat in the 24-race of Le Mans factory team managed Peugeot in endurance racing revenge of Imola. In Le Mans, the Audi team Marcel Fässler / André Lotterer / Benoît Tréluyer in the R18 TDI beat the Peugeot 908 of Sébastien Bourdais , Simon Pagenaud and Pedro Lamy by 14 seconds after driving 24 hours.

In Imola, Peugeot achieved a clear one-two victory. Sébastien Bourdais and Anthony Davidson won ahead of their teammates Franck Montagny and Stéphane Sarrazin . The third-placed Audi of Marcel Fässler and Timo Bernhard was one lap back.
