Wischnjowka ( Russian Вишнёвка , German  Blöstau ) is a place in the Russian Oblast Kaliningrad . It belongs to the municipal self-government unit of the Guryevsk District in Guryevsk Raion .

Geographical location

Vishnevka is located 18 kilometers northeast of Kaliningrad (Koenigsberg) and west of the municipal road 27K-286, which branches off the regional road 27A-024 (ex A190 ) at Konstantinovka (Konradswalde) and leads north to the municipal road 27K-080. The nearest train station is Bajewka 1 (Kuikeim) on the Kaliningrad – Sovetsk (Koenigsberg – Tilsit) line .

history

The Gutsdorf, once called Blöstau , was founded in 1363. In 1874 it was incorporated into the newly established Kuggen district (now Russian: Perwomaiskoje) and belonged to the Königsberg district (Prussia) - 1939–1945 Samland district - in the Königsberg district of the Prussian province of East Prussia . In 1895 the small village had 26 inhabitants. Ten years later, Blöstau gave up its independence and was incorporated into the rural community of Molsehnen (Russian: Kosmodemjanskoje).

In 1945 Blöstau came to the Soviet Union with northern East Prussia . In 1947 the place was given the Russian name Vishnevka and was assigned at the same time to the village soviet Kosmodemjanski selski Sowet in Gurjewsk Rajon . From 2008 to 2013 Vishnevka belonged to the rural municipality Dobrinskoje selskoje posselenije and since then to the urban district of Guryevsk.
