Ferran (the same Occitan ) is a southern French municipality with 111 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the center of the Aude department in the Occitania region (before 2016 Languedoc-Roussillon ). The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Carcassonne (until 2017 Limoux ) and the canton of La Piège au Razès (until 2015 Alaigne ). The inhabitants are called Ferranois .

Ferran is located about 26 kilometers west-southwest of Carcassonne in the former county of Razès . Ferran is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Brézilhac in the north, Cailhavel in the east and northeast, Cailhau in the east and southeast, Gramazie in the south, Mazerolles-du-Razès in the west and southwest and Fenouillet-du-Razès in the west and northwest.
