Gensac ( Occitan : Gençac ) is a southwestern French community with 771 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the Gironde department in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Libourne and the canton of Les Coteaux de Dordogne (until 2015: canton of Pujols ). The inhabitants are called Gensacais .
location
Gensac is located about 51 kilometers east of Bordeaux and about 27 kilometers east-southeast of Libourne in the Dordogne valley . Gensac is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Pessac-sur-Dordogne in the north, Saint-Quentin-de-Caplong in the east, Massugas in the south, Coubeyrac in the south-west, Sainte-Radegonde in the west and Juillac in the north-west.
