Iljitschowo ( Russian Ильичёво , German Görken ) is a small town in the Russian Oblast of Kaliningrad . It belongs to the municipal self-government unit of the Guryevsk District in Guryevsk Raion .
Geographical location
Ilyichowo is 16 kilometers northeast of the city of Kaliningrad (Königsberg) on the municipal road 27K-080, which connects Georgijewskoje (Konradshorst) with Stepnoje (Powarben) and Sokolowka (Damerau) . Until 1945 Powarben (Russian: Stepnoje) was the next station on the Prawten – Schaaksvitte (Lomonossowo– Kaschirskoje ) railway of the Königsberg small railway , which is no longer in operation.
history
The former manor village of Görken was incorporated into the then newly established administrative district Powarben (today Russian: Stepnoje) between 1874 and 1930 and belonged to the district of Königsberg (Prussia) in the administrative district of Königsberg in the Prussian province of East Prussia . In 1910 116 inhabitants were registered in Görken.
On September 30, 1928, the Görken manor district lost its independence and was incorporated into the rural community Knöppelsdorf (today in Russian: Rasswet). Knöppelsdorf belonged to the Neuhausen district (Russian: Gurjewsk), which was assigned to the Samland district from 1939 to 1945 .
As a result of the Second World War , Görken came to the Soviet Union within northern East Prussia . In 1947 the place received the Russian name Ilyichovo and was assigned at the same time to the village Soviet Kosmodemjanski selski Sowet in Gurjewsk Rajon . Later the place came into the Marschalski selski Sowet . From 2008 to 2013 Ilyichowo belonged to the rural municipality of Khrabrowskoje selskoje posselenije and since then to the urban district of Guryevsk.

The almost exclusively Protestant population Görkens was before 1945 in the parish Schaaken with vicarage in Church Schaaken (Russian Today: Schemtschuschnoje) eingepfarrt and thus belonged to the church district Königsberg Country II within the ecclesiastical province of East Prussia the Prussian Union of churches . Today Ilyichyowo is located in the catchment area of the newly established Evangelical Lutheran congregation in Marschalskoje (Gallgarben) , a branch congregation of the Resurrection Church in Kaliningrad (Königsberg) in the Kaliningrad provost of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of European Russia (ELCER).
