Maixe is a French commune with 413 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Meurthe-et-Moselle department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Lunéville and the canton of Lunéville-1 (until 2015: canton of Lunéville-Nord ). The inhabitants are called Maixois .

geography

Maixe is located about 21 kilometers east-southeast of Nancy on the Sânon and the Canal de la Marne au Rhin . Maixe is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Drouville in the north and northwest, Serres in the north and northeast, Einville-au-Jard in the east, Deuxville in the south, Anthelupt in the southwest and Crévic in the west.
