Hablainville is a French commune with 219 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Meurthe-et-Moselle department in the Grand Est region (before 2016 Lorraine ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Lunéville and the Canton of Baccarat . The inhabitants call themselves Hablainvillois (es) .
geography
The municipality is located about 45 kilometers southeast of Nancy in the southeast of the Meurthe-et-Moselle department. Neighboring communities are Réclonville in the north, Pettonville in the northeast, Vaxainville in the east, Brouville in the southeast, Azerailles in the southwest and west, Flin in the west and Buriville in the northwest. The community consists of the village and individual farmsteads.
history
The present parish is first mentioned in a document in 1314 as Hablenville . Hablainville was historically part of the Duchy of Lorraine , which fell to France in 1766. Until the French Revolution , the community was then in the Grand-gouvernement de Lorraine-et-Barrois . From 1793 to 1801 the municipality was assigned to the district of Blâmont and the canton of Ogeviller (Ogéviller). It has been part of the canton of Baccarat since 1801. Since 1801 Hablainville has also been assigned to the Arrondissement of Lunéville. Until 1871, the community was in the old Meurt (h) e. Since then it has been part of the Meurthe-et-Moselle department .

traffic
Hablainville is not on any railway line. The Azerailles station is two kilometers south of the railway line from Lunéville to Saint-Dié-des-Vosges. To the south, not far from the community, the N59 passes. In the neighboring municipality of Azerailles there is a half-connection towards Lunéville. The closest full connection is in Gélacourt. The D19 and D165, which run through the village, are important for regional traffic.
