Magnières is a French commune with 286 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Meurthe-et-Moselle department in the Grand Est region (before 2016: Lorraine ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Lunéville and the canton of Lunéville-2 (until 2015: canton of Gerbéviller ).

Magnières is located about 18 kilometers south-southeast of Lunéville on the Mortagne , into which the Belvitte flows here, and on the border with the Vosges department . Neighboring municipalities of Magnières are Moyen in the north and north-west, Domptail in the east and north-east, Saint-Pierremont in the east, Xaffévillers in the south-east, Deinvillers in the south, Clézentaine in the south-west, Mattexey in the west and south-west and Vallois in the west and north-west.
