The Nissan NT400 was launched by Nissan in 2014 as the successor to the Nissan Cabstar (Europe) , as was the Renault Maxity, which was derived from it using badge engineering . Like the previous models, the forward control delivery trucks are produced by Nissan Motor Ibérica in Spain . The Nissan NT500 , which is technically related to the NT400, and its badge engineering model Renault D-Truck are also built there. The previous model Cabstar always came from the Japanese Nissan Atlas . Now, however, it is an independent European development while in Asia the Atlas and the Nissan NT450 are still offered in these vehicle classes.

Design and technology

The NT400 has not been completely redeveloped, but has been given the cab of the NT500. However, the dashboard and the side panels were taken from the predecessor Cabstar. The now wider cabin including a raised roof has created more space and thus also driving comfort.

The NT400 is offered with gross weights from 3.5 to 4.5 tons and with revised engines from its predecessor. The 2.5-liter Nissan YD-25 now has an output of 90 kW (122 PS) and 100 kW (136 PS), while the 3.0-liter Nissan ZD30 110 kW (150 PS) is the top engine the emission standard euro 6 by means of SCR and particulate filter complies. Furthermore, Nissan has extended the oil change intervals to 40,000 kilometers or two years.
