Vallons-de-l'Erdre

Vallons de l'Erdre is a French municipality with 6556 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Loire-Atlantique in the Region Pays de la Loire . It belongs to the arrondissement of Châteaubriant-Ancenis and is part of the canton of Ancenis . The inhabitants are called Valonais .

On January 1, 2018, Vallons-de-l'Erdre became a Commune nouvelle from the municipalities of Bonnœuvre , Freigné (formerly Maine-et-Loire ), Maumusson , Saint-Mars-la-Jaille , Saint-Sulpice-des-Landes and Vritz formed. The administrative headquarters are in Saint-Mars-la-Jaille.

Vallons-de-l'Erdre is surrounded by the neighboring communities of La Chapelle-Glain and Le Pin in the north, Challain-la-Potherie in the north and northeast, Angrie in the east and northeast, Candé and Val d'Erdre-Auxence in the east, Loireauxence in the south-east, La Roche-Blanche in the south, Pouillé-les-Côteaux and Pannecé in the south-west, Riaillé in the west and Grand-Auverné and Petit-Auverné in the north-west.
