Ébersviller ( German : Ebersweiler ) is a French commune with 949 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Moselle department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ).

geography

The municipality is located seven kilometers west of Bouzonville and ten kilometers from the German-French border .

A hamlet in the north, Férange, has been incorporated since April 26, 1811.

history

The place was first mentioned in 960 as the Everonis Villa . Other names were Ebersweiller (1755) and Ebersweiler (1793).
