Biding (German Biedingen ) is a French commune with 324 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Moselle department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). It belongs to the Forbach-Boulay-Moselle arrondissement .

geography

Biding is about eight kilometers as the crow flies southeast of Saint-Avold at an altitude between 251 and 296 m above sea level. The municipality covers 6.72 km².

Neighboring communities are Macheren , Guenviller , Cappel , Barst , Maxstadt , Laning , Vahl-Ebersing and Lachambre .

Economy and Infrastructure

The place is away from the bigger streets and can be reached via side streets from Maxbach, Vahl-Ebersing and Barst. The place is dominated by agriculture and forestry, among other things grain is grown.
