Alzing ( German : Alzingen ; Lorraine : Oljhéngen) is a French commune with 392 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Moselle department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ).

geography

The place is in the north of Lorraine , two kilometers southeast of Bouzonville and seven kilometers from the German-French border ( Saarland ).

history

Barrows testify to settlements in Roman times, around 1286 the place Alezenges de leiz Bazonville was named. Other names were Anselnigen (1594) and Altzing (17th century).
