Bousbach (German: Buschbach ) is a French commune with 1226 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Moselle department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). It belongs to the Forbach-Boulay-Moselle arrondissement , the Stiring-Wendel canton and the Forbach Porte de France municipal association .

geography

Bousbach is about five kilometers southeast of Forbach and therefore close to the border with Saarland .

history

The community was first mentioned in 1296 as Busbach . Other names were Buezbach (1429), Bursbach (1544) and Bousebach (1756).
