Neunkirchen-lès-Bouzonville ( German : Neunkirchen ) is a French commune with 339 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Moselle department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ).

geography

The place is directly on the German-French border , four kilometers west of Hemmersdorf as the crow flies .

history

The place was known as Nunkirka in the 12th century . Other names were Neunkirchen les Bouzonville (1793) and Nunkirchen (1801). In 1837 Remeldorff was incorporated.
