Bambiderstroff ( German Baumbiedersdorf , Lorraine Bambidaschtroff ) is a French commune with 1,060 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Moselle department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ).

geography

The community Bambiderstroff is six kilometers west of Saint-Avold on the southwestern edge of the Warndt .

history

The place was first mentioned in 1121 as Brudeville , it was badly destroyed and depopulated in the Thirty Years War and only gradually rebuilt and repopulated .

Bambiderstroff belonged to the Austrian exclave Rollingen and was ceded by Austria to France on May 16, 1769.

From 1871 to 1918 the community was temporarily part of the German Empire again .
