Anfissa Anatoljewna Reszowa b. Romanova ( Russian Анфиса Анатольевна Резцова born Романова , scientific. Transliteration Anfisa Anatolevna Rezcova * 16th December 1964 in Jakimez , Rajon Gus-Khrustalny , Vladimir Oblast ) is a former Soviet , and later Russian cross-country skier and biathlete .

Career

Cross-country skiing

Under her maiden name Romanowa, she won the bronze medal as a cross-country skier at the 1983 Junior World Championships in Kuopio, Finland, both in the individual over 5 kilometers and in the Soviet 3 × 5 kilometer relay. As an active player, she represented the Soviet Union in cross-country skiing at the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1985 Seefeld , where she won the relay gold medal together with Tamara Tichonowa , Raissa Smetanina and Lilija Wassiltschenko , while she was also on the final round with the Norwegian Berit Aunli . In the 20 km individual she was the best Soviet starter in fifth place. After her marriage to the biathlete Leonid Reszow starting under the name Reszowa, she defended the season title in 1987 in Oberstdorf with Ordina , Gawriljuk and Ptizyna , again she was the final runner. She also won two silver medals, both over 5 km classic and in the 20 km freestyle competition. At the Olympic Games in Calgary in 1988 she won the Olympic gold medal with the Soviet relay. Although she had been training biathlon since 1990 and competed in the first national competitions, she was once again world champion in cross-country skiing in 1999 with the Russian relay team in the line-up of Danilowa , Lasutina , Reszowa and Gavriljuk , and in individual competitions she also achieved fourth place in the pursuit and over 15 km freestyle excellent results. In the World Cup she made her debut in the 1984/85 season , the 1986/87 season was her most successful year, she finished the overall standings in second place. It is noteworthy that she achieved podium places in the 1985/86 , 1986/87, 1987/88 , 1988/89 and again 1998/99 seasons . 1999 was also her last appearance on the cross-country stage.

In the biathlon sprint over 7.5 km, she won the 1992 Olympic Games in Albertville, despite three shooting errors in front of Antje Misersky . Two years later in Lillehammer she won gold in the biathlon relay.

Personal

Reszowa is married to the former biathlete and today's biathlon trainer Leonid Reszow , their daughters Darja and Kristina are also biathletes. She also has a daughter (* 2001) and a son (* 2007).
