Braake is located in the northeast of Radevormwald near the Ennepetalsperre on the border with Breckerfeld . The neighboring towns are Umbeck , Plumbeck , Siepen , Im Holte , Beck , Altena and Nadelsheide (both to Breckerfeld). The place can be reached via Kreisstraße  9, which leads from Wellringrade towards the Ennepetalsperre.
