Diekhusen-Fahrstedt is a municipality in the Dithmarschen district in Schleswig-Holstein .
geography
location
The place is a pure marshland and an area municipality and borders directly on the city of Marne in the north . It is located in southern Dithmarschen on federal highway 5 .
Districts
The community consists of the districts Diekhusen, Fahrstedt, Diekhusenerwesterdeich, Fahrstedterwesterdeich and Vettenbüttel.
Neighboring communities
Neighboring communities are the town of Marne and the communities of Volsemenhusen , Ramhusen , Schmedeswurth and Neufeld (all in the district of Dithmarschen), starting clockwise in the north .
history
It is assumed that Fahrstedt's origins lie in a terp that was first settled between the years 100 and 400 and thus would be the oldest settlement of the Dithmarscher Südermarsch.
On April 1, 1934, the parish of Marne was dissolved. All of their village communities, village communities and farmers became independent communities / rural communities, including Diekhusen and Fahrstedt.
The community Diekhusen-Fahrstedt was created on January 1, 1970 in the course of the community reform from the previously independent districts that gave it their name.

There was a primary school in Diekhusen-Fahrstedt.
Personalities
- Peter Jochims (1762–1844), judiciary and budget advisor in Schleswig and related to Claus Harms.
- The theologian Claus Harms (1778–1855) was born in Fahrstedt.
